David Bordwell was an American film theorist who has quite a few books on film analysis.
I recently came across his essay, Common Sense + Film Theory = Common-Sense Film Theory?, on his blog. It was an extremely fascinating read.
Has anyone else read his book or any familiar with any of his other work?
