Off the top of my head:

  • The Fall by Tarsem Singh
  • Labour of Love by Aditya Vikram Sengupta
  • Under the Sand by François Ozon
  • The Brown Bunny by Vincent gallo
  • Lolita by Adrian Lyne

  1. Cruising by William Friedkin
A compelling study of one’s sexuality (or rather its fragility) disguised as a Giallo-esque police procedural/serial killer movie.

  2. Black Narcissus by Powell and Pressburger
A horror movie that never really was. A story of one’s desires chipping away at their psyche told through the perspective of a couple of missionaries tasked with building a church in the Himalayas.

  3. Marathon Man by John Schlesinger
An anxiety-inducing thriller from the 70s filled to the brim with paranoia. Perfectly reflects the political unrest of said decade.

  4. Tramps by Adam Leon
A cute, rather inconsequential story about two people finding themselves being gradually drawn to one another as they spend one entire day with each other.
